Digital Persona Drivers Updated to V2 (Supporting x86 and x64 Systems)
Introduction of the new Digital Persona Drivers (V2.2.0.414) – previously this was utilising V1.4.0.853. Update Improves speed of performance. If you plan to use the finger print system in any of the packages, please ensure they are all on these versions minimum and that you install the drivers correctly when prompted. (please note if upgrading from a previous version of digital persona RTE installation, that it will most likely fail to install and that you may have to manually un-install the drivers beforehand to ensure a successful install.)
Payzone support
You can now use GPoS with Payzone as an additional EFT provider. The configuration of this is the same as Global payments (since they share the same architecture), and is covered in the appropriate info text doc.
Ability to reverse a failed EFT / Magna cashless top up transaction.
If the user removes the Magna Cashless card from the reader before payment is complete on the EFT Pin pad, GPoS will now error and attempt a reversal.
Mobo2go integration
You can now use GPoS with Mobo Innovations mobo2go system for online order taking. GPoS polls the site for incoming orders and either prints a completed transaction, or prints and stores for later payment.
Utility: Search on system options
The control used to display the system options has been changed for a searchable grid.
Ability to perform stock transfer requests on the PoS
Allows for requests for stock transfer to be recorded at the PoS and sent to the back office for confirmation / posting
Multibuy trigger by piece or real qty
You can now choose whether Multibuys should trigger using the real qty or the piece qty. If a PLU is sold as a modifier of 0.5 its
piece qty is 1, whereas its real qty is 0.5. In addition to this, you can now specify on the multibuy which modifier it should use to
trigger.
Clerk seize function (clerk Interrupt buffers)
A manage clerk can now use the clerk seize function to get access to a clerks interrupt buffer who may have left for the day.
0504 Report taking recorded in the transaction log. Reports and period end operations are now recorded in the transaction log. Data such as the x/z counts, report type, report taker, period coverage is recorded in the journal, and if using the journal viewer function in GPoS (not receipt print function), you can reprint the report / period end docket.
Restart GPoS button
A button has been added that allows GPoS to be restarted.
Buttons to run command lines
Using execute commands, you can start other processes/ run scripts direct from a button press or reader rule scan. This function can
also be switched off for security purposes.
Ability to restrict previous item voids and refunds to items only registered in the current transaction.
If the item was not registered previously, these types of correction will not be allowed.
Call the programming utility direct from the PoS
A button has been added that allows the calling of the programming utility direct from the PoS. The utility will be loaded and connected to the current database, and upon exiting, you will be given the option to restart the PoS (in case of peripheral changes) or not.
Stock count down enhancement
A button has been added that allows the user to freely set the stock count down value of a PLU without loading any programming mode. Simply press this key, then press the PLU, and enter the countdown value. Entering 0 will give the option to completely remove countdown status from the key.

Option to suppress the printing of voids and refunds

Support for SMTP authentication for Alert usage
You can now use a secured SMTP server to bounce alert emails from the PoS.
Alert if layaway used
This can now be triggered if the layaway (store) operation is used.
Support for Ethernet connected cash drawers
You can now fire a cash drawer via the port of an Ethernet printer, or Ethernet cash drawer that uses ESC/POS for cash drawer firing.
Stocktake mode includes time
The stocktake function now asks for the time of the stock take (in addition to the date), and sends this back to Total Control Premier
Date and time problem detection
GPoS now detects if the date and time appears to be incorrect. It does this by checking any existing transactions against the current date and time to see if they look like they’re in the future. GPoS will throw up a warning if this is the case. The warning will disappear if the date and time is set to an appropriate value, or if the user decides to ignore the error.
Ability to add gross lines to A4 / invoice
Extra fields have been added to show the gross amount of a line (as opposed to the amount net of discounts for tax purposes).
